We hope you enjoy your Raven Lapel Pin
Though we hope your December is anything but bleak, we still hope you find some time to ponder over many quaint and curious volumes of forgotten lore - along with the rest of your TBR, of course.
All jokes aside, there is nothing more timeless than The Raven and we definitely wanted to include a Poe-inspired item in our advent calendar.
"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,

This is the second of three Keely Studios items in this box, and it is also an item OwlCrate has never included before. While we have created many enamel pins in the past, this is our first chained lapel pin. We're obsessed with this unique and vibrant design- a locked journal with a key, featuring everyone's favourite raven and some moon moths.
A Peek Behind the Scenes…
While the locked journal and key were part of the design from the beginning, there were a few early variations in terms of colour. The design just before the final one was absolutely beautiful, but as a team, we felt it was a little too… happy. We wanted to bring a bit more of Poe's darkness to the item, while also keeping things bright and beautiful. A few colour changes made everything a bit more moody and the blue luna moths (found in faerie lore) added that perfect pop of colour.
There have been some really fun and amazing unboxings online and we love them!
